DONATION INQUIRIES

First off…

Hello, do-gooder, you gorgeous beast, you! We see you! And thank you for stopping by our little corner of the internet. This is Kirk (Jeremiah is designing gorgeous things with the flowers), so I get to blabber on a little bit here.

Thanks a million for the work you do! The world needs big-hearted, action-oriented people helping people more than ever. Please stay focused on whatever your North Star is.

Donation requests

We’re big fans of asking for help, and we believe in rallying the team to accomplish a goal.

We receive more requests than we can say yes to. As a small, local business, we focus our giving on causes close to our hearts. Our sweet spot is usually orgs working at the intersections of LGBTQ+ communities, the arts, environmental work, and 12-step recovery. Well, and animal welfare and mental health. And the mental health of animals. Well, shit, actually, we’re excited about anything that lifts folks up, spreads love, and equalizes opportunity.

We look for organizations that are financially transparent (put your damn finances right on your website!) and have other reputable vendors on board.

Are we a good fit?

We’re most likely to give to organizations we work with throughout the year. We’d love to be your florist 365 days a year, from a thank-you bouquet to your annual gala. If you already work with another florist for your events and are reaching out to us just for an auction donation, we’re less likely to be a fit. If you’re looking for a florist to build a relationship with, we’d love to get to know you.

What to include in your ask

Pro tip: Keep it personal and brief. We read every request. Form letters tend to put us to sleep. Tell us who you are, who you help, what you’re asking for, where the event is happening, and which other vendors have signed on.

Share your floral budget. We’re more likely to help stretch an existing budget than to donate the full cost.

Email the event details to us at orders@acmefloral.com
